Photographer: Michael Harrigan
Michael began taking photographs at Trowbridge’s a number of years ago, originally as a tactic to get out of more difficult work like moving hay and doing chores. Over the years, though, he’s come to love photographing both day to day farm life and the excitement of horse shows. He has developed a deep and lasting admiration for the Arabian horse and for the people who love and care for them. He never did get out of doing chores.
Usually found lounging around and drinking coffee near the wash rack or sleeping in the sun near the shop, Michael will occasionally amble down to the arenas and snap off some photos of horses and clients in action before knocking off for an early lunch. He is also known to sneak catlike about the farm, shooting candids from the shadows and generally keeping folks on their toes.
